Scheduling

Royal Air Flight Training operates by appointment only. Contact us before going to BWI or FME so the instructor can confirm the meeting time and location.

Training reservations use a minimum four-hour scheduling window so there is adequate time for briefing, ground instruction, preflight, flight, and debrief. The four-hour window does not mean four billable flight hours. Aircraft time is billed by recorded Hobbs time. Instructor time begins at the scheduled lesson time when the instructor is present. If the instructor arrives after the scheduled time, billing begins when the instructor arrives; time is not billed before the instructor is available. Billing continues until the lesson is complete and the instructor and student leave the airport.

Training is subject to weather, aircraft condition and availability, instructor availability, airport operations, and safety considerations. Royal Air may delay, modify, or reschedule a session when conditions make that appropriate.

02

Cancellation and rescheduling

Please provide as much notice as possible when you need to cancel or reschedule a training session.

A same-day cancellation or rescheduling requested by the client may be charged an amount equal to one hour of instructor time at the rate in effect on the scheduled date.

The charge does not apply when the session is canceled because of weather, aircraft maintenance or unavailability, instructor unavailability, or a safety or operational decision made by Royal Air.

The initial website inquiry is not a training reservation and does not create a cancellation charge.

03

Enrollment acknowledgment

Before a student begins scheduling training, Royal Air will provide the complete scheduling and cancellation policy for the student to review and acknowledge. That enrollment-stage policy—not the inquiry form—is where acceptance of possible cancellation charges will be documented.

Rates and operational procedures may change. Students will be told about material changes before the updated terms apply to future scheduling.

Privacy notice

When you submit the student inquiry form, Royal Air collects the contact information, aviation background, training goals, availability, location preference, referral source, and notes that you choose to provide.

We use this information to respond to your inquiry, understand your training needs, discuss scheduling, and administer a prospective or active training relationship. Royal Air does not sell or rent inquiry information.

A copy of an inquiry may be delivered to Royal Air's business email inbox so authorized instructors can respond. Information may also be available to service providers that support the website and email delivery, or disclosed when required by law. We retain it only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above.

Do not submit medical information, identification or citizenship documents, financial account information, payment-card information, or other sensitive records through the inquiry form.

You may ask to review, correct, or delete inquiry information by emailing royalairflighttraining@gmail.com. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
